On 9 July 2020, Mrs. Katica Smojver made a guest appearance on the show “Četvrtkom aktualno“ on Radio M from Vela Luka, on behalf of Katus d.o.o. as the leader of the project “Cloud of knowledge for an island of possibilities” and on behalf of the Novi Otok society as a partner on this ESF project and a beneficiary of the project “Learn more”, as a mentor and member of the society.

Mrs. Smojver announced the upcoming training programme for five deficit professions available to unemployed persons as part of the project “Cloud of knowledge for an island of possibilities”, and explained the registration procedure for all those interested in taking part in this free professional training programme. She outlined the schedule of the training project and the possible ways that the theoretical and practical parts of the training programme will be held, given the current situation with Covid.

She outlined how the educational content of both programmes has unfolded thus far, and announced a two-day free workshop on programming mobile applications. This online workshop will be held on 10-11 July, while a series of creative workshops will be held on 14–15 July at the Community centre in Vela Luka, including creative work using a range of techniques. She stressed that the creative workshops will focus on designing innovative motifs and logotypes of Korčula, to encourage attendees to create templates for original souvenirs, and to encourage talented by unemployed youth to launch their own businesses.
